Terms of Service
By using Cert Ready, you agree to the following terms.
1. Description of services and scope limitation
Cert Ready is a self-guided readiness assessment tool that enables organisations to evaluate their management systems against the requirements of ISO standards (including ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018). The tool generates scores, identifies gaps, and provides recommendations based solely on user-provided responses.
Cert Ready is not:
- A certification service or certification body
- An audit service (internal or external)
- A provider of compliance advice or legal advice
- Affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), JAS-ANZ, BSI, SAI Global, or any accredited certification body
All scores, gap identifications, and recommendations are generated by deterministic rules applied to user-provided responses. They do not constitute independent verification of your practices or compliance status.
2. No guarantee of certification outcome
Cert Ready does not guarantee that completing an assessment will result in a successful certification audit, that the readiness score is exhaustive of all issues an auditor may identify, or that implementing the tool's recommendations will result in certification.
Formal ISO certification requires an independent third-party audit by an accredited certification body. Cert Ready is a preparation tool only.
3. User responsibility
You acknowledge that the accuracy of your assessment results depends entirely on the accuracy and completeness of the responses you provide. You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on the results of your assessment.
We recommend seeking independent advice from a qualified ISO consultant before making material business decisions based on your assessment results.
4. ISO 45001 — workplace health and safety notice
The ISO 45001 assessment module is a pre-audit preparation tool only. It does not constitute workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance advice and does not assess specific workplace hazards, conditions, or risks at your premises.
Compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) and applicable state/territory WHS legislation requires independent assessment by qualified WHS professionals. Cert Ready does not replace or supplement those obligations.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cert Ready excludes all liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including but not limited to failed audit fees, lost contracts, lost profits, or penalties arising from reliance on assessment results.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010).
6. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the Cert Ready platform, including software, question banks, gap rules, and recommendations, remains the property of Cert Ready. You retain all rights to the responses you submit.
You grant Cert Ready a limited licence to process your responses for the purpose of delivering the service and for anonymised, aggregated improvement of the platform.
References to ISO standards are for informational purposes only. ISO, the ISO logo, and individual standard numbers are trademarks of the International Organization for Standardization.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
Before commencing legal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith through negotiation for a period of 30 days, except where urgent injunctive relief is required.
